Adoption Process

Before placing a deposit for a puppy, please contact us first to ensure availability and to let us know what your looking for in a puppy. I try to keep the website up to date, but all of our pups keep us very busy, so I may not get to certain things as quickly as I'd like.

Puppies are reserved based on whether you would like male or female and once a deposit is placed, I will send you the filled out Puppy Deposit Agreement (sample can be viewed in the menu drop down).

Our reservation list generally begins filling up before the puppies are even born, so it is best to place a deposit early, especially if your wanting a specific color or pattern. I only reserve puppies based on sex, not color.

Once a female is bred, the gestation period is 63 days and I will post updates to to my Facebook and Instagram page as well as my blog. Updates include ultrasound and radiograph appointments and pictures of the puppies.

Puppy selections take place in the order of deposits received and a 500 dollar deposit is required to reserve a puppy. The deposit does go toward the purchase price of the puppy. When the puppies are about 3 weeks old, I will begin contacting everyone with deposits placed to schedule a day and time to come out and view the puppies when they are about 4-5 weeks old. Appointments will be scheduled in order of deposits placed. If you can't make it out in person to choose your puppy, we can schedule a video chat instead. You also have the option to pass on the current litter and wait for a future litter if you like.

Before going home, the puppies will be dewormed and have a vet visit for a health check up along with their first set of vaccinations.

If you live in another state and would like to purchase a puppy, I can meet you at the Portland International Airport(PDX) with your puppy. Flying in is usually less expensive than shipping the puppy and is much less stressful on the pup.
